Malaspina Oceanside Home
projects | country houses
Fitted among mature west coast firs and cedars, this home features views of the near cove and the Malaspina Strait beyond from every room.
Residents can supervise children at the waterfront from the kitchen and enjoy meals on the dining deck which is sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds.
Built along a rocky waterfront bluff, the house mimics the natural slope of the land, while the construction employs a combination of light framing and exposed heavy timbers.
The house also features the use of antique lumber from an old mill cut into hardwood flooring.
